    Well, what the title of the topic says: is Sonic hacking dying? Maybe I'm a bit out of the loop as I'm not really a member of the community anymore but it seems that from 2015-16 onward the scene kind of has been declining? I don't know if that's the correct term but what I've noticed is that the Sonic hacking scene is clearly not as active as it was ten years ago, when I became interested in this stuff.

    I have seen more Sonic hacks than from any other game franchise, so I guess that at some point it was somewhat big.

    I finally decided to move on to better things like Undertale/Deltarune Fan game making

    but I still trying to make a good engine for myself
