Sonic 2/3 sprites in sonic 1 help?

Hey i found a guide on retro hack for s3 sprites in sonic 1 but when i applied it, my rom crashed. I did it three more times, to check if i made a mistake, and it still crashed. Can someone Tell me how to put sonic 3 or 2 sprites in sonic 1? Or if you think it would take to long, post a source code for it? id rather have you tell me how, but which ever is more convenient for you is good. Thanks.

Thanks it works! But there is an error with the sprite. It only shows the walking/running sprites. the jumping, rolling, waiting, standing, looking up, looking down sprites dont work. Help?

EDIT: The Spring Sprite works as well, but there is also a problem with the slope sprites, it works, but Sonic is facing more upwards and looks like he is walking in air. Help?

Sorry about that... I'm removing it.

From the looks of it. It's the incorrect mappings. Which was not ported right. If you get the Sonic & Knuckles Disassembly and get the mappings from that. Look at Sonic 1 Mappings and Sonic & Knuckles Mappings. Compare them. It would have to be in Sonic 1 Format. I will post an example later after I get home.

The reason why i have 2 sonics on the one pic is because i have after image code. Anyways, The First Picture is Not a bunch of random sprite parts, but the second one is. The first is the Running sprite, the second is the waiting/standing sprite.

I can port Sonic 3 Sonic later on when I get home
