Found out today that Sonic Drift is the only 8-bit Sonic game to use SRAM! It saves the player's time in free run mode. Sonic Drift 2 doesn't have this feature for some odd reason... The code to read/write to SRAM is located at offset $8F5 in the ROM. Just thought you should know!
